Meeting With Stillwater Rotary

A group of Wishes For Water Directors attended the Rotary Club meeting on September 7th to talk about our mission and our campaign this semester. We loved getting to meet more members of the community and answer their questions. We are very thankful to have received a total of $466 in donations from Rotary Club members in Stillwater!

Fundraising Event!

Courts and Claws will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 5-8 pm. There will be a crawfish boil and pickleball tournament with prizes anyone is welcome to attend be sure to scan the QR code on the flyer below.

Directors Spotlight

In this segment we will be recognizing all the directors in the Wishes For Water Foundation, recognizing a few in every newsletter in the summer.

Parker Perry(Director of Public Relations/Financial Research)

My name is Parker Perry and I am a sophomore majoring in Political Science and Biology with minors in Law and Legal Studies and Spanish. I am from Keyes, OK (way out in the panhandle) and I am the new Director of Community Public Relations and Financial Research for the Wishes for Water Foundation! I first joined Wishes for Water because Lily is one of my biggest mentors and role models, and I wanted to support her ambition and join her cause. I have remained active in the foundation for many reasons, some of which include my first-hand experience and visualization of the dire issues we combat in Zimbabwe this summer as well as the relationships I’ve built with my fellow team members and my love for our mission and the change we aim to make. My first title (Director of Community PR) entails reaching out to community members to build relationships and receive donations, sponsorships, benefit partnerships, etc. I also foster connections with local media, in attempts to make our foundation a well-known one in Stillwater and beyond. The Director of Financial Research position is a developing one. As of now, I research grant opportunities and databases, both private and federal, and have begun navigating the registration and application processes. Throughout the coming campaign, we hope to continue learning more about these resources and utilizing them to the best of our ability.
