Thank You Donors!

We officially drilled our first borehole on June 11th, 2023 thanks to you and the numerous other donors to our spring 2023 campaign! We would like to share with you all the amazing things we accomplished while in Zimbabwe the last few weeks.

It was at Chivakanenyama Primary School where we were able to drill our first borehole. With the aid of local engineers from Workskill Water, we drilled a total of 55 meters down. This well will provide water for more than 800 students in this school district, and as more students are drawn to this school district because it has access to both sustainable water and good education, this number will only increase. In addition to our achievement in building a well, The Tererai Trent International Foundation kept its promise to drill a borehole in a neighboring community. So, we have been able to provide not one, but two communities in Zimbabwe with an efficient water source!

We didn’t stop there; as part of our $15,000 commitment to the school, we constructed a fence around about 2.5 acres of land for the Chivakanenyama school district's garden initiative. With access to the borehole's water and a designated garden area, the school can now begin its feeding program, which the leadership team of Chicakaneyama anticipates will feed all of the students by this time the following year. 

Having said that, this is merely the start of our journey to carry out our mission. We have already taken action to continue providing Zimbabwe sustainable resources. Please mark your calendars for August 1st when we will launch our next borehole campaign. We eagerly await your continued support!
