Fundraising Check-In!

We are currently at $6,450 of our $15,000 goal to drill boreholes in rural Zimbabwe. Though we are off to a good start, we still have a lot of fundraising to accomplish. Global Partnership Representatives(GPR) Update

Global Project Representatives (GPRs) at Wishes For Water Foundation are instilling the organization's values when seeking donations to reach their $300 individual fundraising goal. They are also training and learning how to design crowdfunding campaigns and how to utilize and leverage their connections to help fundraise successfully.

In addition, Wishes For Water Directors are encouraging involvement by slowly integrating the new members into future leadership positions by assisting and shadowing current directors within their positions. This is an important step in developing the next generation of leaders for the organization and in ensuring that its mission continues to be carried out in the future.

Overall, the Wishes For Water Foundation GPR program is a valuable experience for young people who are passionate about making a difference in the world.

In this segment, we will allow you to meet the directors of the Wishes for Water Foundation!

Dulce Gallardo-Owens (Director of Public Relations Alumni)

I am a Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering major, with a focus on environmental and natural resources. I am from Midwest City, Oklahoma, and I am the Public Relations Director for Wishes for Water. I joined Wishes for Water because I hope to make my career in water sanitization and distribution. Water is a crucial part of life, and I believe that everyone deserves access to clean water.

My goal is to ensure that no one is being held back from achieving great things because a basic need isn’t being met. My position in Wishes for Water entails making presentations, brochures, and posters for events and presentations. I also participate in presenting for fundraising efforts and I make business connections wherever I can.

I have two Rottweilers that I call my sons, and I love spending time with them when I'm not working or volunteering.

I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Wishes for Water, and I am committed to doing my part to help ensure that everyone has access to clean water.
