The President’s Leadership Council here at Oklahoma State University offers a study abroad trip that is partnered with Tererai Trent, a former OSU grad . Students travel to Zimbabwe to see the work she is doing to create a more sustainable school system as well as provide a source to send women in Zimbabwe to college. This trip is a ten day experience in which students get to learn about Tererai’s leadership and her story to make a difference in the world.
This trip has prompted us students to make a difference in Zimbabwe by fundraising money to help the cause of sustainability by drilling wells to be placed for a source of water for the schools and the surrounding community. The students from Wishes For Water who are going to be heading to Zimbabwe will be able to see first hand how our mission is affecting the communities positively! Directors Spotlight
In this segment we will be recognizing all the directors in the Wishes For Water Foundation, recognizing a few in every newsletter in the summer.
Anna Ramsay (Director of Marketing)
Anna Ramsay is a sophomore at Oklahoma State and is majoring in art history. She is 1 of 3 Directors of Marketing for Wishes for Water. In her position, she works to collect and curate content for our social media platforms. Anna is involved with the President's Leadership Council and will be a facilitator in fall 2023. She joined WFW because she was interested in learning more about philanthropy and saw the good that can happen when a group of college students came together to create positive change.

Katon Lunsford (Director of Marketing)
Hi, my name is Katon Lunsford! I am currently a sophomore at OSU and majoring in Strategic Communications. I was in President's Leadership Council my freshman year, which is how I discovered Wishes for Water. I wanted to join because of the intent and passion Lily spoke of her goals. I knew she had created something life-giving and wanted to join in on this opportunity to help create a better world for someone. I love this nonprofit, and the opportunities it provides for students in Zimbabwe.
I am one of three marketing directors for WFW. My position entails posting on all of our social media platforms, creating content, updating followers on our goals and current projects, and using social media to fundraise.
